AI in production

AI as a production tool — not a goal in itself

Artificial intelligence tends to be discussed in extremes: either as a technology that changes everything, or an overhyped term attached to anything new. Both framings leave the practical picture unclear.

At Calesta, AI is part of the production process in the same way as any other tool: useful when it does something better or faster than without it.

In practice, this covers three areas:

Content production and voice

AI-based speech synthesis makes it possible to produce quality voiceover quickly and in multiple languages. In the Cyravo platform, we use this to deliver the guidance voice learners hear during training. What matters is the result — how the voice integrates into the experience — not the technology itself.

Ideation and drafting

AI tools can speed up the generation of content ideas, script drafts and alternatives. This doesn't mean the final result emerges automatically — it means more time is available for refinement and development.

Automation and pipelines

Repetitive production steps can be automated. This is especially useful when the volume of content grows or the same content is needed in multiple languages.

What AI doesn't do: it doesn't replace design. A good digital experience requires an understanding of the user, the context and the goal — and those don't come from prompting. AI works best as part of a well-designed whole with a clear purpose.

This is Calesta's approach: AI as a production capability, not a selling point.
